In-Office
C-Reactive Protein Testing
Dr. Ron Schefdore graduated in 1983 with
a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University. He
is the first dentist in the USA to become certified to perform simple,
in-office finger stick blood tests on patients with bleeding gums.
Research shows that bleeding gums elevate
cholesterol, blood sugar, and C-Reactive Protein levels. CRP is a
protein released by the liver into the body if inflammation is present.
Dr. Schefdore discovered that 72٪ of his patients with bleeding gums had
elevated CRP levels. He went on to develop a non-surgical program
that gets patients well by a new protocol and by the use of
Nutriceuticals, the new standard of care.
